The SCBS S.T.E.A.M. programme is designed to connect and extend the disciplines of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics to address relevant problems and challenges arising from life in the 21st century. Yesterday, the primary school staff and children were delighted to welcome the Grade 2 and Grade 3 parents to experience how the primary school children learn S.T.E.A.M..

STEAM课程旨在通过对科学、技术、工程、艺术和数学五门学科进行融合及延伸，用以解决21世纪生活中出现的各种相关问题和挑战。昨天，上海康德小学部组织了二、三年级STEAM课程的课堂开放活动，邀请家长走进课堂近距离了解学生学习STEAM课程的情况。

Yesterday's activity consisted of a variety of small challenges related to STEAM, including parachute designing and building, “Dancing Raisins”, “Scared Pepper” and invisible ink. Some of the children joined forces with their parents, while others worked in groups, to challenge themselves to solve and investigate a variety of practical S.T.E.A.M. activities. 

昨天的活动现场，桌子上摆放着一个个与STEAM课程相关的挑战任务单，包括制作降落伞、“会跳舞的”葡萄干、“感到害怕的”胡椒、隐形墨水等。一些学生和家长一起完成了一系列的挑战任务，另一些则结成小组进行挑战任务。 

The children thoroughly enjoyed the fun and challenge involved in the activities and the teachers were exceptionally impressed by the resilient attitude and excellent problem-solving skills that the children displayed during the activities. STEAM is the future of education. We hope that our pupils can get the skills to face future challenges by taking the STEAM course. 

学生们非常享受STEAM课程学习给他们带来的乐趣和挑战，另外，他们在学习过程中表现出的灵活性与优秀的解决问题的技能给老师们留下了深刻的印象。STEAM是面向未来的教育方向。校方希望同学们通过STEAM课程的学习掌握面向未来挑战的技能。 

Shanghai Concord is the first bilingual private school from Grade 1 to Grade 12 established in Huangpu District in 2017. We currently have grades 1, 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12. The school enjoys full support from the Party Committee, the Government of Huangpu District and is under the guidance of the Huangpu District Education Bureau.
